History of discovery of pasteurization and rabies by Louis Pasteur
Louis Pasteur was born December 27, 1822 - died 28 September 1895 at the age of 72 years is a French-born scientist. As a scientist he managed to find a way to prevent food spoilage until some time with a heating process called pasteurization. Louis Pasteur began his career as a physicist at a high school. At the age of 26 years he has been a professor at the University of Strasbourg, and then he moved to the University of Lille and there in 1856 he made a significant discovery greatly to the field of medicine. The discovery of pasteurization which originally was lethal bacteria in milk with warming.
Pasteur also made drugs for preventing anthrax and rabies shots against rabies. At that time people were bitten by a mad dog will suffer from a disease called hidrofobia. Pasteur rabies injections not only prevent but also cure the disease. On the day of the 70th anniversary of the doctors and scientists from around the world visit to Paris in his honor. Since the year 1888 the work was continued at the Pasteur Institute Pasteur in Paris. Now the institute has branches in 60 countries. His tomb is located under the Institute.
